摘要:Introduction: Repetitive strain injuries (RSI) and work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs) are interrelated with the execution of the work activity and affect individuals in different professions. Physiotherapists are inserted in this context, because during the performance of techniques and conducts they use the application of force, repetitive movement of the upper limbs and staying in unfavorable postures for a prolonged time, causing overload to the structures and predisposing to the development of RSI/MSD. Objective: To evaluate the prevalence and incidence of repetitive strain injuries and musculoskeletal disorders related to the work of physical therapists, based on the evidence presented in the literature, as well as to estimate the incidence and prevalence of RSI/MSDs, to identify the area and time of performance of this professional, to identify the most affected body segments, and to associate RSI/MSDs with gender and age. The guiding question is: What is the prevalence and incidence of repetitive strain injury and work-related musculoskeletal disorders among physical therapists? Method: the study will consist of a systematic review of incidence and prevalence, according to the Joanna Briggs Institute Manual and will be composed of the following steps: eligibility criteria; information sources and search strategy; selection of studies and data extraction, assessment of the methodological quality of the included studies and data analysis. Expected results: From the analysis of the evidence, it is expected to propose intervention strategies that bring together organizational aspects of the work, adaptations in the physical environment and establishment of a better planning of health promotion of its workers.
