摘要:This article aimed to characterize the scientific publications that address about the topic of consumer behavior in the online environment from a bibliometric and content analysis through the articles present in the Web of Science database in period from 1998 to 2022. For that, research was carried out with a quantitative approach, with the exact search term consumer behavior online, with 365 publications being located. Subsequently, a content analysis was performed, with a qualitative approach, using the IRaMuTeq software, with the translated versions of the abstracts of the articles generated from the 10 of the most cited articles in the bibliometric analysis. In order to explore the related terms in the publications, the software provided statistical information from the text, as well as the Descending Hierarchical Classification (CHD), similarity analysis and the word cloud. The results of the analyzes carried out showed that the year with the highest number of scientific publications on the subject was in 2020, the theme has an interdisciplinary scope in several segments, in addition, the abstracts of the most cited articles presented references inherent to the theme, with the predominance of of the word online, information and consumer.
