摘要：The configuration of the dislocations in tabular silver iodobromide crystals, configurational change of them after deformation, and relation between latent image distribution and crystal imperfections were observed directly by an electron microscope.Most of original crystals contained dislocations. Dislocation density was different in each crystals. The amount of dislocations containing in the crystals probably be proportional to the content of iodide incorporated into them.The dislocations in them were concentrated locally by the deformation (so-called ‘cell structure’ was formed).The cleavage cracks introduced into the crystals by the deformation showed complicated figures (not straight as in silver bromide crystals). In silver iodobromide crystals, latent images were not formed at those cracks.In both original and deformed crystals, they were formed easily at the sites dislocations intersect with the crystal surfaces.
