摘要:Objective: To describe the oral manifestations in patients affected by COVID-19. Methodology: A literature review was carried out from Pubmed, Lilacs and Scopus databases in order to obtain studies published from December/2019 to February/2021. Studies without language restriction, with any report of oral manifestation, observational studies, case reports, systematic reviews/literature and letter to the editor were included. Eighteen studies resulted for data extraction, involving 81 patients with oral manifestations. Results: The appearance of lesions was higher in males (53%), in individuals over 60 years of age (43%), without comorbidities (48%) and with symptoms (44%). Most subjects received drug treatment for COVID-19 (88%) and did not require hospitalization/intubation (69%). Oral lesions included aphthous ulcerations (65%), macules (16%), vesicular-bullous lesions (11%), petechiae (6%) and plaques (6%), in addition to alterations such as augeusia/dysgeusia (21%), burning in the mouth (20%) and xerostomia/hyposalivation (7%). Conclusion: It was still not possible to state that the oral manifestations were directly related to SARS-CoV-2 or related to secondary effects of the treatment of the disease.
