摘要:This article aims to highlight the current scenario of pharmaceutical practice in approaching the themes of religiosity and spirituality – R/E in the professional/educational scope. In the area of Health, there is an increasing search for working with patients in a more comprehensive pathway, considering the individual in all his social/physiological/mental and spiritual aspects. Religious/spiritual beliefs and practices, when established, seem to contribute not only as an important factor in coping with life, but also to favor the individual's adherence to health treatment, in addition to generating better results. The selected methodology is based on an integrative literature review in the main scientific databases Scielo, LILACS and Pubmed, using the keywords “pharmaceuticals”, “religiosity”, “spirituality” and “patient care” as descriptors. until June 2021. The integration between religiosity/spirituality and the pharmacist's praxis, aiming at benefits for the sick, is a challenge for health promotion in the coming decades, which should be overcome from the expansion of research in this area. area with a view to opening the awareness of health professionals in relation to aspects that transcend the field of reason. This type of approach during treatment is already beginning to be widely used by other health professionals: such as doctors, nurses, psychologists, but little explored by pharmaceutical professionals.
