摘要:Brazil has the greatest genetic biodiversity in the world, which encourages the use and development of medicinal plants. Medicinal plants have bioactive principles and pharmacological properties, thus promoting an interaction between plants-people. de-shrub or lemon balm, tea-de-tray, lemon sage, rosemary-do-campo. However, with inadequate use of these plants, intoxications can occur due to the ingestion of excessive amounts, inadequate preparation, or error in the identification of the species. Therefore, the objective of this research was to identify the prevalence of the use of Lippia Linn in ethnobotany through the Scielo database and to assess whether there have been intoxications with the use of it. Therefore, a systematic bibliographic survey was carried out in the Scielo databases on the ethnobotanical use of Lippia Linn. The descriptors used in the research were "ethnobotanical", "Lippia", "intoxication" with the Boolean operator or, selecting the works published between the years 2018 to 2020. Inclusion criteria were selected studies that related the ethnobotanical use of Lippia Linn , intoxications that may have been caused by the use of the plant and articles in Portuguese and English, published in the last two years.
