标题:Toxicity Studies of Diethylene Glycol Mono-n-Butyl Ether Acetate: Effects of Diethylene Glycol Mono-n-Butyl Ether Acetate on Pregnant Rats and Their Fetuses
摘要:Groups of 20 pregnant Wistar rats were treated orally with diethylene glycol mono- n -butyl ether acetate (DEGBEA), from day 7 through 17 of gestation at doses of 0, 250, 500 or 1, 000 mg/kg, and Caesarian sections were performed on day 20 of gestation. In all dose groups, no signs of maternal toxicity were observed throughout the gestational period. Numbers of fetuses, fetal body weights and degrees of ossification were not affected by DEGBEA, and no treatment-related fetal anomalies were noted in any dose groups. These findings indicate that the no-observed-adverse-effect level (NOAEL) for both maternal and developmental toxicity was found to be 1, 000 mg DEGBEA/kg/day, the highest dose tested.
