摘要:The contact sensitizing potentials and cross reactivity patterns of 2,3,5,6-tetrachloro-4-(methylsulfonyl)pyridine (TCMSP) were evaluated in a modified guinea pig maximization test (GPMT). TCMSP was identified as a strong sensitizer in the GPMT with a minimum induction dose of 5 ppm, and a minimum elicitation dose of 50 ppm or less. Among pyridine derivatives tested, TCMSP-sensitized animals cross-reacted to pentachloropyridine. In addition, the animals reacted to 2,4,5,6-tetrachloroisophthalonitrile, a chlorobenzene derivative. Pentachloropyridine exhibited a sensitization potential in the GPMT, and cross-reacted to both TCMSP and 2,4,5,6-tetrachloroisophthalonitrile.
