Previously the author found the pressure distribution on the planing surface of infinite breadth, and established a simplified integral equation which gave the lateral distribution of lift on a short and broad planing surface by the aid of the two dimensional results. In the present paper, numerical calculations for a rectangular flat planing surface as well as a triangular one are performed. Adding to these, the shape of the planing surface which gives the least resistance by the same lift is discussed.
