An application of electrolytic precipitation method using a coated electrode with electric conductive paint is proposed. This technique was found to enable the visualization of the streaklines which originate from an arbitrary position in a flow to be easier and clearer than conventional methods. The technique was applied to an observation of Kármán vortex street and it was indicated that the observation of streaklines is essential to better understandings of the mechanisum of the vortex shedding from near wake behind a circular cylinder started impulsively, and the rearrangement into the configulation of Kármán vortex street.
