Since the difficulties of developing and fixing silver iodide emulsions have been major obstacles to a systematic investigation of their photographic properties, shortening of both average development time and the minimum fixation time for them were studied. Shortening of the development time was achieved by the use of Kodak D-8 developer without bromide and with 10 g/l of hypo as a development accelerator, and reduction of the fixation time was effected when the solution of 350 g/l of hypo and 150 g/l of potassium thiocyanate was used as the fixing bath.
