The day of August 19, 1839 is well-known as the date that Arago made the presentation of Daguerreotype to the French Academies de Sciences and Beaux Arts. In the year 1989, many photographic exhibitions including some historic photographs were held in celebration of the 150th anniverssary of photography all over the world. In this article, the classical photography from the birth to the present is outlined and then the research report, literatures, and descriptions about it are introduced. Finally, the existing state of the aged classical photographs which have been stored in Japan is mentioned, and the distinctive feature of each classical photography is viewed.
