For exact color reproduction, a multi-band imaging technique is required in general. In this paper, suitable spectral characteristics of multi-band imaging system are discussed from the image quality point of view. Computer simulation using a multi-band imaging model in the presence of noise was first performed to understand the system's fundamental characteristics and then two kinds of six band capturing techniques were experimentally tested and the resultant image quality was evaluated.
