The photographs of Hayashibara Museum of Art Collections were kept in a super cooler called “Super Cool & Dry®” We measured the changes in moisture and temperature on the surface of film negatives stored under various conditions in this unit. A comparison between the results in summertime and those in the wintertime was made and it was found that both results stayed in the safe range even during the summertime despite the ambient high temperature and humidity of the environment. Moreover, when image deterioration was measured, no major change in quality was observed in the film negatives for 6 years' storage in the unit.
