A technique for acquisition and synthesis of pictures with high resolution and wide angle is presented for projection onto dome screen. A camera calibration technique for the multiple camera system is proposed for preserving right direction from the viewing point to the object. A preliminary experiment with a digital camera was performed and images were synthesized within three degrees as error in direction and within three pixels as error in stitching processing.
