In the previous report, design problems of the minimum wave resistance hull form with the fairing constraint were carried out by means of the nonlinear programming, and hull forms having normal end shapes without swan necks were obtained by means of the optimization procedure. Those normal end shapes had not been expressed exactly in the usual design procedures based on variational approaches. In the present paper, some examples of optimization problem for bow and stern shapes of normal type, bluff type and bulb type are introduced under constraints such as constant displacement, fairing and so on. Results for fore and aft asymmetric hull forms are also included.
