The electric resistance of chrcoal is closely related with the purity of carbon in charcoal, therefore we can analogize the state of charcoal purity, the state of charcoal refining, by measuring, the electric resistance of charcoal. The specific electric resistance of charcoal has a parallel relation with the contact resistance in the graph curve, by the temperature degrees of carbonization and resistance number in logarithm, and has a diference in the order of resistance number. Because of this reason, we can analogize the extent charcoal refining by the contact electric resistance, in place of specific electric resistance, in place of specific electric resistance, because of its simple process. We can gain a definite number of resistance, by giving fixed pressure on the contact points of charcoal resistance meter, and obtained the relation number 10⁹_??_10^-1Ω of contact resistance by the carbonization of wood at 400°C_??_1.100°C temperature degrees in the measurement of contact electric resistance, on the sample carbonized accurately. So that, we have manufactured for trial the meter, with 0.005^mA ammeter in pivot type and possibility of measuring, 10⁸_??_10^-1Ω, electric resistance. We named it, “the charcoal refining meter.”
