This is a part of report, researched comparing with other three various pines, on the properties of “Kuromatsu No. 26.” in the sample area of “Akamatsu” in Otsuchiyama-State Forest, Hiroshima-Prefecture. “Kuromatsu No. 26” is superior tree in external forms and grows in volume about twice as large as other pines. Hypoderma cells of needle are formed of three rows. Stomates are numerous and larger than that of other pines. Lage resin-passages are about 2.5 or 3 times of small-passages in volume. In 10 large resinpassages, 2 are in contact with epidermis and 8 are not in contact.
