Campylobacter jejuni are the most major causative agent of bacterial foodborn illness in Japan recentry. However, conditioning of enrichment culture medium for Campylobacter jejuni are troublesome and are uneconomical because the quantity of prescription is restricted to a large volume and period of preservation is so short. The results are as summarized follows: Puchitto-Campylo stored fresh in refrigeration by long-term retention, were functionally comparative to the ordinary Preston medium. The required number can be adjusted, is very useful for the routin Campylobacter inspection for various samples. Our results suggest that, non-micro aerobic culture using Puchitto-Campylo can enrich Campylobacter jejuni comparative to micro aerobic condition.
