摘要：The aim of this essay is to examine the remaining evidence concerning the dispute that took place between the γένος of Krokonidai and that of Koironidai. Analyzing the information handed down by lexicographers and by those orators who probably spoke in defense of each different stock, it is possible to make some conjectures about the reconstruction of the argument which most likely dealt with the claim of religious privileges in the Eleusinian cult. Probably the dispute brought to two different lawsuits: certainly a διαδικασíα and maybe a δίκη ἐξούλης as well. If on the one hand we don’t know how the dispute ended, on the other we know that Krokonidai had more prestige than their rival family. Il presente lavoro si propone di esaminare le testimonianze pervenute circa la contesa che vide contrapposto il γένος dei Krokonidai contro quello dei Koironidai. Dall’esame delle informazioni tramandate dai lessicografi e dagli oratori che presumibilmente presero le difese delle due stirpi, è possibile avanzare ipotesi in merito alla ricostruzione della vicenda, che con buona probabilità verteva sulla rivendicazione di privilegi di carattere religioso all’interno del culto eleusino. È verisimile che la disputa diede luogo a due diversi procedimenti giudiziari: sicuramente una διαδικασíα e forse una δίκη ἐξούλης . Se da un lato non si è a conoscenza dell’esito finale della vicenda, dall’altro è certo il maggior prestigio di cui godettero i Krokonidai rispetto ai loro avversari.
