摘要：En este trabajo, producto de la revisión y análisis de la literatura especializada, se pretende presentar algunas ideas de carácter onto-epistemológico, sobre la producción y gerencia del conocimiento en la universidad. En el mundo de hoy, la producción y gerencia del conocimiento están supeditadas a un modo de investigación científca orientada a la aplicabilidad y utilidad hacia el entorno (comunidades, industria, gobierno, entre otros), con una estructura más fexible, inter y transdisciplinaria y un interés eminentemente práctico y social.
