摘要:This essay explores the relationship between the Haymarket Affair, class struggle, and a radical geography of free speech. Rather than focusing on the events of Haymarket itself, it examines how what the Haymarket Martyrs were struggling for – and why control of place and space was so crucial to that struggle – is deeply connected both to the radical strategies of organizations like the Industrial Workers of the World and to contemporary progressive and radical protest movements.
