摘要：Dans un contexte global de mise en marché de la ville à travers de grands projets urbains souvent orientés vers l’offre touristique et culturelle, cet article suggère une exploration du cas du Quartier des spectacles à Montréal. En ayant recours au concept de patrimoine vécu, avec l’aide d’Henri Lefebvre, il fait ressortir comment les groupes sociaux en présence dans le Redlight de Montréal perçoivent ce lieu symbolique et comment ils mettent de l’avant différents aspects de la mémoire urbaine et du patrimoine pour se façonner un espace vécu. La centralité même du lieu, les pratiques spatiales qu’elle sous-tend et le combat pour avoir « droit à la ville » semblent être au cœur des débats où les mémoires urbaines s’entrechoquent. In a global context where the city is marketed through megaprojects that are often oriented toward culture and tourism, this article proposes an exploration of the Quartier des spectacles in Montreal. Using Henri Lefebvre, it puts forward the concept of lived heritage (patrimoine vécu) and aims at highlighting how social groups present in Montreal’s Redlight district perceive this symbolic place, and how each of them instrumentalize different aspects of urban memory and heritage in order to shape specific Lefebvrian lived spaces. It turns out that the centrality of place itself, the spatial practices it implies and the fight for “the right to the city” appear to be at the very core of the debates where urban memories collide.
