摘要：The article shows the way in which pictorial work of art; museums and architectural; devotional and popular pictures manifest himself in the literary essays of Pedro Gómez Valderrama. The main objectives are: 1) to discuss the differences between the literary and the critical roles of the ekphrasis; 2) to present the essayistic texts by the Colombian writer; and 3) to postulate ekphrasis as an important characteristic in the aesthetic valuation of the essay as a literary genre.
