摘要：In addition to the effects fathers have on their children, there are also significant social, financial, emotional, and biological effects of children upon their fathers. The scientific study of fatherhood has received insufficient attention in the research literature. We review selected NIH support for studies of fatherhood and comment on three papers that were presented as part of a special panel, “Effects of Children on Fathers,” sponsored by the National Institutes of Health, Office of Behavioral and Social Sciences Research.
