摘要：O objetivo deste texto é discutir as conexões entre o discurso histórico e cinematográfico, a partir das estratégias de autenticação em O Nascimento de uma Nação (The Birth of Nation, 1915), de David Griffith, e Amistad (1997), de Steven Spielberg. Serão examinadas as leituras que os filmes fazem da representação do tema da escravidão e os vínculos com o contexto em que foram produzidos, analisando também as questões de estilo presentes nas duas obras.
其他摘要：This text aims at discussing the connections between the historical and cinematographic discourse, starting from the authentication strategies employed by two films: The Birth of Nation (1915), from David Griffith, and Amistad (1997), from Steven Spielberg. This article will examine the different interpretations of the slavery theme and the link to the context in which they were produced, including the analysis of the style used on these two films.
