摘要：Historical account of the statue of Francisco Pizarro in Lima, one of the few that recalls the memory of a conquistador in Latin America. Mention is made of the foundry and exhibition of the different statues of Pizarro as conceived by artist Charles Cary Rumsey, and popular ideas about it. Finally, analysis is offered of the present day perception Peruvians have of the Conquest and what Pizarro’s statue symbolizes to them.
