摘要：Este trabalho teve como principal objetivo a descrição das alterações de deglutição e das características lingüísticas no grau leve e moderado da doença de Alzheimer. Foram avaliadas duas pacientes, com idade superior a 60 anos, diagnosticadas com a doença de Alzheimer, que estavam sendo acompanhadas no Centro de Reabilitação Gerontológica da Unifesp-EPM. Os atendimentos fonoaudiológjcos ocorreram uma vez por semana, com duração de 45 minutos, pelo período de um mês. As avaliações de linguagem foram baseadas em situações de conversa espontânea com conteúdo de interesse do paciente. Foi feita avaliação estrutural e funcional da deglutição e, posteriormente, a videofluoroscopia. Pode-se verificar que as alterações de linguagem e de deglutição pioram à medida que aumenta a degeneração cerebral causada pela doença.
其他摘要：In this research we limit ourselves to the work of speech therapy to minimize the damage caused by the Alzheimer disease. By following two patients, one at the initial stage of the disease and the other during the moderate stage, we were able to clearly identify all changes in language and swallowing, which accompany brain degeneration. From the start of this process, we could observe and report the swallowing alterations and the language characteristics that indicate the degree the disease has reached. We conclude that through the changes shown by the patient, we may determine with considerable precision the phase of the disease in which the patient has fallen, because such alterations are clearly marked in each of the two stages.
