摘要：A discussão a respeito das percepções vocais relacionadas às alterações hormonais em mulheres é, ainda, um assunto recente na área fonoaudiológica sendo, então, de grande importância um levantamento da literatura específica existente e pesquisa de campo. O objetivo deste trabalho foi investigar as relações entre a voz e as alterações hormonais. Realizamos, num primeiro momento, um levantamento bibliográfico sobre as alterações hormonais no ciclo mestrual e suas conseqüências na voz e, num segundo, foram realizadas entrevistas com mulheres para verificar suas percepções sobre o assunto. Médicos ginecologistas também foram entrevistados para complementar as informações sobre o assunto. Foram entrevistadas quarenta mulheres, contatadas aleatoriamente, por meio de um protocolo elaborado previamente pela pesquisadora. Os médicos ginecologistas entrevistados foram dez, com tempos variados de prática clínica. Nas respostas dos questionários das mulheres, observamos uma predominância de relatos negativos em relação à percepção de quaisquer mudanças vocais em função de alterações hormonais. Constatou-se uma não associação de mudanças vocais às alterações hormonais. Salvo poucas exceções, a grande maioria das mulheres não percebia nenhuma mudança na voz nos períodos pré-menstrual e menstrual. O mesmo resultado foi constatado com a maioria dos dez médicos entrevistados, os quais relataram não ter recebido de suas pacientes reclamações e queixas a este respeito. Concluiu-se que seis médicos têm conhecimento teórico e algumas vezes prático de mudanças vocais conseqüentes das alterações hormonais do ciclo menstrual, mas não se interessam por investigação mais minuciosa a este respeito em suas consultas.
其他摘要：The discussion about vocal perceptions related to hormonal changes in women still is a recent subject in the speech language pathology área. Therefore, it is very important to do a survey of the specific literature concerning this subject and also to carry out field research. The goal of this project was to investigate the relationship between voice and hormonal alterations. First, we carried out a bibliographic research of specific literature about hormonal alterations during the menstrual cycle, and voice changes resulting fro these alterations. Then, we interviewed women with the aim of investigating their perceptions regarding the matter. Some gynecologists were also interviewed in order to complement the information concerning the matter. Forty women were randomly contacted and interviewed, and the gynecologists were also interviewed, independently of their clinical experience. In the women’s answers to the questionnaire, there was a predominance of negative accounts in relation to the perception of any vocal changes caused by hormonal alterations. We observed a non-association between vocal changes and hormonal alterations. Apart from few exceptions, the great majority of the women did not perceive any change in their voice in the pre-menstrual and menstrual periods. The same result was found with the majority of the doctors, who reported that their patients had never complained about such matters. The conclusion was that six doctors have theoretical, and sometimes practical knowledge regarding voice changes resulting from hormonal alterations of menstrual cycle, but are not interested in detailed investigations in this area in their clinical practice.
