摘要：O texto é parte dos resultados obtidos em nossa pesquisa de mestrado, na qual investigamos as relações dialógicas - relações imagéticas e discursivas - presentes na materialidade linguística de cartas de leitor em jornais pernambucanos da primeira metade do século XIX.Os conceitos bakhtinianos de imagem externa, vivenciamento das fronteiras externas do homem e relações dialógicas fundamentam este estudo, cujo objetivo é analisar as estratégias discursivas entre o eu e o outro, elemento constitutivo do discurso.
其他摘要：The text is part of the results obtained in our masters' research, in which the dialogical relation - imagetical and speech relations - present in the linguistic material of readers' letters of Pernambuco of the first half of the XIX century was investigated. The bakhtinian concepts of external image, the experiencing of man's external boundaries and the dialogical relations support this study in order to analyze the speech strategies between the I and the other, constitutive element of the speech.
