摘要：Este trabalho busca conhecer as concepções a respeito de um curso de formação de professores de inglês no interior da Bahia e justifica-se devido ao fato de ser necessário entender os motivos que levam a grande maioria dos egressos a resistirem a trabalhar como professor ao concluírem o curso.É considerado um estudo de caso que segue uma abordagem qualitativa, em que foi feita uma pesquisa sobre as percepções de seis professores egressos a respeito do curso de graduação que fizeram: Português, Inglês e Literaturas.Esta pesquisa teve como objetivos: compreender as razões que levam os egressos desse curso a resistirem a trabalhar como professores após a sua conclusão e investigar concepções a respeito da formação e o campo de atuação de professores que fizeram o Curso de Letras.Como base teórica foi utilizada a LDB 9394/96 (BRASIL, 1996), os PCN de Língua Estrangeira (BRASIL, 1998), Celani (2000, 2004), Almeida Filho (1999) e Freire (1996).
其他摘要：This work aims at knowing the conceptions about an Undergraduate English course in Bahia and it is justified by the necessity to understand the reasons why the majority of undergraduates resist to work as teachers when they finish the course. This is a case study that follows the qualitative approach. This research is about the six teachers’ perceptions, regarding the Undergraduate course they took: English, Portuguese and their respective Literatures. The research objectives are: to understand the reasons why graduates resist working as teachers and to investigate the conceptions about the teacher education and the area of activity of teachers who took “Letras” course – specialization in Portuguese, English and Literatures. The theoretical bases used were the LDB 9394/96 (BRASIL, 1996), the PCN – Foreign Language (BRASIL, 1998), Celani (2000, 2004), Almeida Filho (1999) and Freire (1996).
