摘要:Metode Bermain Berbantuan Media Manipulatif untuk Meningkatkan Motivasi dan Hasil Belajar Siswa SD Abstract: The present study is which aims at describing the implementation of playing method with the use of manipulative media in learning addition which can increase the learning motivation and outcome.The study applied classroom action research consisting of two cycles and was carried out in Class II A of Public Elementary School (SDN) Blimbing 3, Malang, East Java Province. In cycle I, the students were invited to play “Nilai Huruf”, while in cycle II they played “ Acak Bilangan “. The process of doing and calculating the results of addition were done by employing media-assisted of stick ice cream and plastic glass. The findings show that the strategy wich can increase the students’ learning motivation and outcome was conducted with step (1) forming a play group, (2) explain the steps of activities, (3) provide a task/challenge with worksheets and media group play, (4) complete the task, (5) present work, (6) discussion of the work .The instructional process was carried out very well and student-centered learning was applied, meaning that the students are involved in the learning process, feel more excited, more actively participate, easily understand the lessons, and feel much appreciated. Key Words: playing method, manipulative media, learning motivation, learning outcome Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan metode bermain berbantuan media manipulatif dalam pembelajaran penjumlahan yang dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan dua siklus, dengan latar kelas II A SDN Blimbing 3 Malang. Tindakan pada siklus I bermain “Nilai Huruf” dan siklus II bermain “Acak bilangan”, yang berbantuan media manipulatif berupa stick ice cream dan gelas plastik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode bermain berbantuan media manipulatif yang dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa dilakukan dengan langkah (1) membentuk kelompok bermain, (2) menjelaskan langkah kegiatan, (3) memberikan tugas/tantangan dengan lembar kerja kelompok dan media bermain, (4) menyelesaikan tugas, (5) mempresentasikan hasil kerja, (6) pembahasan hasil kerja. Kegiatan dapat dilakukan dengan sangat baik, terpusat pada siswa. Siswa dapat terlibat langsung, menjadi bersemangat, lebih aktif dan mudah memahami materi, serta merasa dihargai dan senang. Motivasi belajar siswa meningkat sangat tinggi dan hasil belajar juga meningkat.
