Various factors play a role in citizens’ exposure to hazards and shape their environment at different scales. The interactions between urban forms, changes in natural elements, and socioeconomic activities induce exposure situation that are more or less harmful. These interactions make urban planning more complex. The objective of this article is to consider the multiplicity of factors that determine urban health and specific exposure situations in the light of urban planning needs and constraints on urban development over the long term.
