  • 摘要:The land experiment was carried out with direct aplication of sewage sludge on soils. Sewage sludges and soils were analyzed chemically for organic maller, nitrogen, phosphorus, potasium, calcium, magnesium, iron, manganese, copper, zinc, cadmium, chromium, nickel and lead. Sewage sludges were evaluated for effectiveness in providing phint nutrients and the introduction ofheavy metals into thé food chain. The soil was used to grow coro annually for two years, using rates from I to 5 tonnes per hectare. The composition ofsewage sludges used was: organic maller, 50%; total nitrogen, 4.93%; phosphorus, 1.28% and different concentrations ofCa, Mg, Na, K, Fe, Al, Zn, Cu, Mn, Fe, Ni, Cr y Pb. The available concentration was also evaluated and rates from 1 to 10 per cent of solubility were found. Sludge application was benefical in providing additional nutrients and organic matter. The pH value was lower at the end of the experiment. Test crops offield com were also sampled with the aim to evaluate the uptake ofheavy metals by plants. No toxicity or undesirable high levels of heavy metals were found. The essential nutrients were in normal levels.
