摘要：Frei Betto hace una interesante reflexión en este texto sobre un tema fundamental para nosotros, como es la colonización —la antigua, la que se nos impuso a sangre, fuego y rezos hace 500 años; y la moderna, la que actualmente nos oprime y subordina. Tomando como base un documento de la ONU recientemente divulgado, en el que se muestra con cifras contundentes el injusto mundo en que vivimos, el escritor brasileño afirma que, sin cambiar el actual modelo económico global, América Latina y el Caribe no podrá superar la pobreza y la desigualdad social que la aprisionan.
其他摘要：Frei Betto reflects interestingly in this text on a topic that is fundamental for us: colonization the old colonization, which was imposed upon us by blood, fire and prayers around 500 years ago, and modern colonization, which opresses and subordinates us today. Considering a document recently released by the United Nations, in which it is proved, quantitatively, the injustice of the world in which we live. The Brazilian writer states that, without changing the current global economic model, Latin America and the Caribbean will not be able to overcome the poverty and social inequality that imprisons the region.
