摘要:The text originated from a research on the perception of Lhe protagonists of a public school in Brasília, with respect to their participation in the decisions regarding Lhe school's organization and administration. Ti was sought, with the use of a qualitative approach, to collect the opinion of Lhe speakers, making use of semi-structured interviews directed to the principais, parents and teachers; In addition to expressions, not only written but also figurative, of the students from the first to the fourth grade of the elementary school. The investigation showed that participation does not reach the ideal that characterizes a democratic school. Ti presents itself as a practice that finds few spaces offered by the school, and thus, when it occurs through the fulfillment of formalities, it appears as a passive and limited participation.
