摘要:The article aims at showing how a questionnaire for measuring justice perceptions of higher education teachers was developed and validated. Items were extracted from the literature and the content analysis of interviews with 51 teachers. The sample comprises 208 higher education teachers of 4 higher education portuguese schools. The principal component analysis suggest four justice dimensions: one interactional, one procedural and two distributive (tasks and rewards). Interactional and procedural justice have predictive value for the affective commitment of the teachers. Some findings suggest that it can be useful to distinguish two sides of interactional justice: social/interpersonal and informational. In general, the study provides useful insights to the understanding of the justice construct. It suggests that the measurement tool has good psychometric properties, although further studies are needed to confirm the most appropriate dimensional structure.
