摘要:This paper studies latent attitudes of youth towards various job attributes and the invisible mechanism that underlies choices of individuals seeking for employment. Conjoint analysis approach offers the possibility to use very useful information: how respondents trade-off job characteristics in making job selection decisions. The characteristics we analyse in this study are: wage level, type of working schedule, job-field of study match, job-education match, and promotion prospects. Our analysis uses data collected from young people from urban areas via a questionnaire that aims to mimic real world situations in which individuals have to choose among a set jobs and where the jobs differ in the levels taken by two or more attributes.
