摘要：In the context of a larger economic liberalization, resulting in the withdrawal of a certain degree of state intervention, a reorientation of public funds took place, which, for local authorities, meant that they had to take over a larger share of responsibility regarding the economic policies. The article emphasizes whether the financial resources available for the local communities are sufficient and efficiently used in order to satisfy local needs. In this respect, the paper presents the dynamics and structure of local revenues in Romania and highlights several indicators to prove the sub-national government financial independence for the last 7-11 years.
