摘要：This study focuses on the role of different sources of technology in determining the energy intensity of the firms. Using data from the Center for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE), we model energy intensity and different sources of technologies usage. The major finding of the study is; firms those use disembodied technology imports are lessenergy intensive. Additionally, firms with R and D activities are less-energy intensive as compared to others. We also found an inverted ‘U’ shaped relationship between energy intensity and age of the firm, implying both older and younger firms tend to be more energy efficient.
