摘要：A questão-problema central que esse artigo apresenta tem a ver com a análise crítica que os autores da Teoria Crítica, particularmente Ador - no e Horkheimer, estabelecem entre o projeto de esclarecimento e os limites da emancipação do indivíduo. A partir dessa abordagem teóri - ca, procura-se mostrar se é possível pensar num projeto emancipatório no contexto da sociedade capitalista hodierna. Por um lado, busca-se problematizar a contradição: o esclarecimento como promessa de uma sociedade melhor e aquilo que ele, de fato, se tornou: uma razão tota - litária. Por outro lado, procura-se entender, a partir do posicionamento dos autores, se, frente ao pretenso projeto de esclarecimento, a filosofia e a educação teriam um poder de resistência em relação ao rumo caóti - co que o processo civilizatório tomou.
其他摘要：he central question-problem that this article presents has to do with the critical analysis that the authors of Critical Theory, particularly Adorno and Horkheimer, established between the project of enligh - tenment and the limits of emancipation of the individual. From this theoretical approach it is intended to show if it is possible to think in an emancipatory project in the context of today’s capitalist society. On the one hand, it is sought to question the contradiction: the enlighten - ment as a promise of a better society and what of it, indeed, became: a totalitarian reason. On the other hand, it is intended to understand if, from the positioning of the authors, before the alleged project of enlightenment, philosophy and education would have a power of re - sistance related to the chaotic path that the civilizing process has taken.
