摘要：El ensayo explora la configuración del campo sociológico alrededor de la disputa sobre la pertinencia del canon clásico disciplinario. Se sigue este debate a partir de cuatro relevantes sociólogos: Jeffrey Alexander, Immanuel Wallerstein, Niklas Luhmann y R. W. Connell. Por medio de ellos se presentan algunos matices del asunto para, finalmente, esbozar vínculos entre el proceso de canonización de clásicos y la construcción del campo disciplinario.
其他摘要：This paper explores the configuration of the sociological realm around the dispute on the pertinence of classical disciplinary canon. The debate is followed through the theses of four relevant sociologists: Jeffrey Alexander, Immanuel Wallerstein, Niklas Luhmann, and R. W. Connell. Based on these authors we present some aspects of this subject, and finish by outlining links between the classical canonization process and the construction of a disciplinary field of study.
