摘要：¿Cuál es la relación entre la heterotopía y la memoria colectiva? ¿Podemos seguirhablando de heterotopías en un siglo en el que lo que es “propio de nosotros” y “de ellos” se hallaen constante tensión, compartiendo la vida cotidiana? La propuesta de este texto es que resultaya imposible definir este concepto como lugar en sí, ya que se encuentra siempre en relación conlos parámetros de exclusión de los grupos sociales dominantes, que son cambiantes y negociados amedida que se van transformando las condiciones de la cotidianidad, con la irrupción de nuevosactores sociales o por alteración de las relaciones entre grupos preexistentes. Es papel de los gestoresde la memoria colectiva reafirmar, retocar o incluso deshacer las condiciones de permanencia deestos “espacios-otros”, tanto a través de la práctica de su uso como del discurso sobre su significado.

Can we stillspeak of heterotropias in a century in which what is owned by “us” and “them” is in constanttension, whilst still sharing daily life? The purpose of this text is to show that it is impossibleto define this concept as the place itself, as it is always in relation to the parameters of exclusionfrom the dominant social groups, which are changeable and negotiable since they are changingthe terms of everyday life due to the emergence of new social actors or by altering the relationshipbetween pre-existing groups. It is the role of guardians of collective memory to assert, retouch oreven destroy the conditions of permanence of these “other-spaces” both through its practical use,as well as the discourse about its meaning.
