摘要：The paper examines the welfare impact of microcredit on the borrowers in terms of per capita income and asset acquisition. The study has been conducted in the Silchar town of Cachar, Assam. The objective of the study is to examine whether there has been any significant increase in per capita income and asset acquisition in the borrowers’ households after joining the microcredit programme.
