摘要：The aim was to study in the city with the large enterprises of ferrous metallurgy and coke studied the effect of air pollutants on the performance of physical development of children attending secondary education and specialized schools located in areas with different environmental situation. Materials and methods. The investigation of the physical development in 9866 children aged 7-17 years are conducted anthropometric explorations of the length of body, weight of body, circumference of chest and head. Evaluation of the data carried by percentile method (6523 children) and age-sex regression scale (3343 children). Results and summary. Found that as a result of effects on the man-made environment, especially air pollutants, school-age children have witnessed an increase of the growth processes, weight loss, inhibiting the development of the chest circumference, and physical development of disharmony of deficit in body weight and chest circumference. This is manifested in the increase in the area with significant human impacts on the environment and human body proportion of children and adolescents with high height, low birth weight and the circumference of the chest and disharmonious development. Suggested preventive recommendations.
