摘要:Introduction: Drug adherence is an increasingly important phenomenon for health workers; it is worrying that the lack of adherence causes difficulty in the recovery of the sick person, decreases quality of life and increases costs of health services. Objective: To describe the pharmacological adherence of the person with chronic kidney disease on hemodialysis. Materials and Methods: A descriptive study was conducted with a sample of 109 adults undergoing hemodialysis, to whom were made a home visits, in which they applied the Morisky-Green test, test battle and counting was performed to calculate drug percentage of compliance (PC). Results: 55% of patients stop taking the medication when not feeling well, 15% forget to take while making 85% on time, and do not stop if they are safe. Furthermore it was established that pharmacological presentation of some drugs could influence decision thereof. Conclusions: taking many medications can cause tiredness and fatigue and changes the story of their lives. The multidisciplinary team should promote self-care and adaptation as a strategy to improve drug adherence.
