  • 摘要:The aim of this study was to develop a student engagement scale (SES) and determine its validity and reliability. Factor analysis and reliability studies were conducted using data on 400 high-school and middle-school adolescent students (239 females, 161 males). The exploratory factor analysis (EFA) of the structural validity of the scale accounted for 46.74% of the total variance, with 31 items clustered in 3 factors. In the process of naming three subscales, the content of the items and the literature were taken into consideration. Following a review of the literature, the explored factors were emotional, behavioral, and cognitive engagement.
