摘要:Futsal is an intermittent activity, which combines effort of moderate and high intensity with efforts of medium and low intensities. Players have very high energy, metabolic and neuromuscular spent and need an appropriate diet, body composition and hydration. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the nutritional profile of professional futsal players. It is cross-sectional study with professional soccer players from a club of Santo André (SP). Were evaluated anthropometric variables of weight, height, skin folds and body circumferences for the characterization of nutritional status. Data of food consumption, hydration during the training and supplementation were also questioned. The study included 13 male professional futsal athletes with a mean age of 22,46 years (± 3,89). On average the players were classified as eutrophic, according to BMI, but they had a body fat percentage above the recommendations. In relation to food consumption was observed a low intake of carbohydrates. The hydration during training was an average water intake of 676,92mL (± 341,94). These data highlight the need for nutritional counseling for athletes, because the player’s food and nutrition are critical to their health, performance and ensuring maximum accomplishment.
