  • 摘要:Objective: The importance of nutrition in health promotion, injuries’ prevention and in the maximization of motor performance is widely acknowledged. Thus, the aim of this study was to assess and compare the nutritional intake in futsal players of different competitive level. Methods: One hundred and seven players (1ª divison - 38; 2ª divison - 27; 3ª division - 42) were selected. The assessment of nutritional intake was done through a semiquantitative food frequency questionnaire from the Nutritional Epidemiology Department of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Porto, Portugal. Results: It was verified a reduced energy intake and unbalanced distribution of macronutrients: low carbohydrate intake (with a correspondent low intake of complex carbohydrate) and high fat intake while protein ingestion exceeded slightly the recommendations. Other nutritional features point out for: high cholesterol, low dietetic fibre, and low alcohol intakes. Caffeine intake was under the level of ergogenic benefit. Nutritional differences among groups were not significant (p>0.05). Conclusions: We concluded that energy intake in our futsal players was low and didn’t match energy demands. Low carbohydrate intake and high fat intake can affect glycogen recovery after exertion impairing performance. These subjects must receive nutritional intervention for correcting their nutritional profile. Key Words: Futsal, Nutrition, Macronutrients, Males, Different Competitive Level
