摘要：This article presents a retrospective of the Austria-wide Adult Education Initiative (Initiative Erwachsenenbildung in German) from 2011 to 2014 and its offerings in Tyrol. Focusing on the areas literacy and numeracy and late completion of compulsory education, it placed those who were alienated from education or poorly qualified people and young adults back in the center of educational efforts once again. While later completion of compulsory education has been possible at the BFI Tirol for 20 years, providing literacy and numeracy and imparting basic competences have been relatively new fields of activity for the Tyrol Adult Education Center (Volkshochschule Tirol in German) and the Initiative Frauen aus allen Ländern (Women from All Countries). First evaluation results indicate a high acceptance of offerings in both areas as well as a very high level of participant satisfaction.
